Upgrading to Ecora Auditor Professional 5.0

Ecora Auditor Professional Upgrade and Data Migration
Please note that as of Ecora Auditor version 5.0 the migration procedure has changed, and instead of exporting each dataset from the previous version, and then importing it into the next version, now the database itself is being rewritten on the fly, thus changing the database schema directly. This amount to a dramatic speed improvement by a factor of over 100 when migrating databases from Auditor Professional 4.5 to 5.x. The procedure in terms of the necessary steps has not changed from what is outlined bellow.
First of all and most IMPORTANT is to backup your database.
I. Download the latest release.
1. Double click the downloaded installer.
- Click Next to continue.
- Read the License Agreement, if you accept the terms of the license agreement check the appropriate box and click Next to continue.
- Select the setup type. By default Auditor Pro will try to install all the modules for which the system requirements are met. You can also chose Custom and you will be able to select only the modules you are interested in installing.
- Clicking the Browse button will allow you to chose a destination folder for the Auditor Pro 5.0 installation. By default it is installed in C:\Program Files\Ecora\Auditor50\
- Click Next to continue.
2. Auditor Pro will guide you through the migration process prompting you to click Yes/No in order to migrate reports/datasets/license for all modules.
3. Click Finish to exit the upgrade.
Important !!!
The migration process to Auditor Pro 5.0 will not create a new database, the new migration procedure will only modify the existing database therefore the database shown in Auditor Pro under File->Settings->Database->Manage data sources->Database will be ( in case you upgraded from 4.5 ) EcoraAuditorDB45 ( or the name of the database you used for your previous version of Auditor Pro )
