File
- New Scan - initiates the process of scanning systems
- Open Scan - displays a windows of previously performed scans from where the user can load the results of a particular one
- Settings - accesses a dialog box where the user can set various properties and preferences including storage, security, connectivity, repository or regarding the Reporting Center
- Interface Language - displays a windows from which the user can set the User Interface language
- Update - accesses the Ecora website page to display a list of available updates
- Import Scan - browse for a previously exported scan
- Export Scan - displays the scan exporting window where the user can save a completed scan for further use in the xml format
- Exit - closes the application
Edit
- Alerts and Triggers - displays a windows where the user can define and modify notifications which are sent by the application when particular user-defined conditions are met
View
- All Patches - removes any patch display filtering from the Information window pane
- Installed Patches - sets the Information pane to only display already installed patches
- Missing Patches - sets the Information pane to only display missing patches
- Policy - sets the Information view pane to compare the scan results with previously user-defined policies
- View Log - opens a browser window where the application log is displayed
Tools
- Systems Groups - accesses a dialog box in which systems can be discovered and managed
- Agents - opens the agents management window
- Policy Management - opens a window in which the user can create, edit, delete or export policies
- Policy Selection - opens a window in which policies can be attached to system groups
- Repository Management - opens a windows in which the user can view and manage the current content of the repository
- Patch Attributes Management - opens a dialog box where patches can be managed individually
- Push Patches - pushes (installs) selected patches
- Schedule Updates - opens a windows in which patch database updates can be scheduled
- Schedule Scans - opens a windows in which system scans can be scheduled
- Test Center - opens a window in which previously completed scans can be compared in order to view the differences for particular systems
- Reporting Center - opens the Reporting Center in a browser windows
- Archiving and Purging Settings - opens a window in which database management operations can be performed or scheduled
- Custom Patches - opens a dialog box in which custom patches can be defined by the user
License
- View License - view software and licensing information
- Purchase License - view available purchasing options
- Update License - opens a window in which the licensing information can be updated automatically, manually or by loading a previously saved license
Help
- Help Topics - accesses the online user manual pages
- About - accesses a dialog box that presents the version of the software (with an additional tab that shows information about your License)
- What's This - accesses a pop-up description of the next GUI element clicked
Tabs
- Hosts - The tab displays the information from the performed scans grouped by date and system groups
- Products - The tab displays the information from the performed scans based on products, custom defined and default ones.
- Patches - The tab displays the information from the performed scans based on custom and Windows patches
General Navigation
The Information window pane displays the content and properties of whatever is selected and active in the left pane.
