ECC Install and Initial Configuration

This section describes the necessary steps in order to install and configure the Ecora Control Center v5.
ECC Install
1. Launch the application install file: EcoraCCSetup.exe
2. Wait for the .msi file to be unpacked and click Next.
3. The current version of the ECC is only tested for the Windows Server Operating Systems. Click Next.
4. Set the install Destination Folder and click Next.
- Note: You can change the default destination folder by clicking on Change.
5. Enter the IIS Website Settings for the ECC and click Next.
6. Click Install.
7. Once the installation process has been completed, click on Finish.
- IMPORTANT NOTES:
- IIS Web Service Extension Settings - Please make sure that you have .NET v2 set as Allowed.
- Web Browser: - Please use Internet Explorer 6+ when running the ECC as the other web browsers are not currently fully supported.
- OS Support: - The current ECC build only fully supports Windows Server 2000 and 2003 32bits Operating Systems.
ECC Initial Configuration
1. Launch the Ecora Control Center 5.0. You will be prompted to setup the Initial Configuration.
2. Enter the configuration details:
- Email Settings - Here you can set the settings for the Alerts emails to be sent by the ECC.
- Data Bases - Point to the DB you wish the ECC to use when performing operations.
- Connection Parameters - Credentials under which the ECC operations will be run, unless otherwise specified.
- Note: - If you have set up an Ecora service account for AP, you can use this account and check the Use the same username and password for the Policy Calculator Service and Web-report Generator.
- Policy Calculator Service - Credentials for the Dashboard Policy calculator (requires db_owner, db_datareader, db_datawriter rights)
- Web-report Generator - Credentials for the IIS reports generation.
3. Click on the Calculation Parameters button in order to specify the settings for the Policy calculations:
- Recalculation Period - Can be set as a scheduled task or automatic, whenever new data is available.
- Time Range - Specify which datasets to be taken into consideration when performing Policy calculations.
- Note: At least one dataset must be available withing the time range specified.
4. Click Save.
5. Click Apply.
