Patrick Dunn, Practice Lead with Orange Parachute, Inc., has worked with multi-national, Fortune 500 and Big Five accounting firms for more than fifteen years to address issues related to the effective design, implementation and effective management of IT Projects, IT Security, Business Transformation, Disaster Recovery, and Business Continuity Management.
In this presentation, Patrick shares the basics of what distinguishes business continuity from disaster recovery plans before taking attendees through key steps to starting a Business Continuity Management Program that works. Patrick looks specifically at both parts of BS 25999, the Business Continuity Management standard published by the British Standards Institution between December 2008 and November 2007.
Joining Patrick is Michael Godin, an Ecora Systems Engineer, who shares how Ecora's Auditor Professional 4.5 can help to establish a comprehensive understanding of your infrastructure's configuration for ensuring your Business Continuity Management Program is based on accurate information, how to create policies and rules based on BS 25999-2 to determine the gaps in your BCMP and how to effectively address them, and reassess your program as changes are made to the hardware or software deployed in your IT environment.
