Auditor Help: Downloading & Installing

  1. Access the Ecora website (
  2. Click on Log in in the upper right and enter your username and password.
  3. Locate the Ecora Auditor Professional section.
  4. Click on the Download Now! link in the Ecora Auditor Professional section.
  5. Verify that you meet the system requirements by selecting a module from the drop-down list.
  6. Select the module you wish to download from the top drop-down list.
  7. Click Open and follow the instructions from the setup wizard.
  8. Run the software (it should start automatically) and follow the instructions in the setup wizard.
  9. If prompted, migrate older data to new version locations and formats. Follow the instructions from the migration utility.
  10. If prompted, obtain a license.
  11. If prompted, enable the Configuration Database) option (which writes settings to a relational database) and download MSDE or use an existing SQL instance.
    Helpful Hint Tip: If a proxy server is used in your environment to connect to the Internet, enable the proxy connection option when prompted and provide the proxy settings.
  12. If prompted, restart your system.
  13. If prompted, configure alerts and triggers (see Alerts & Triggers for details).
  14. If prompted, run a report and get started!
