Auditor Help: Selecting for DB2

  1. In the Select DB2 Instances dialog box, check on instances and databases you would like to document.
    Note!Note: Please note that initially you need to add DB2 servers, instances and databases in DB2 Control Center to proceed with data collecting and documenting. Otherwise they won't be shown in Select DB2 Instances dialog.

  3. Then you must set correct credentials for checked databases and instances for successful data collection and documenting.

  5. When credentials are set, click Test button to check that everything is okay. If some problem occured, the connection field should be filled with error description, just as displayed below:

    If there are no connection issues, this field should show green confirmation sign and message.

  7. On the Advanced tab you can choose exact object types presented in the DB2 environment to reduce overall collection time and the total amount of data to be collected, or just to not collect unnecessary objects you have no plans to document.

    You can use Check All and Uncheck All buttons to clear the entire selection or to select all object types, respectively.
  9. Back to the DB2 Objects tab, you can press Filters... button to further reduce the amount of data to be collected by specifying filters on indexes, tables and views. To learn more about how to utilize this filtering capability, click here.
  10. At the moment you think that everything is set, click the OK button to begin collection:
