Auditor Help: PLINK Utility

Plink is the utility that Ecora uses to connect to UNIX and Cisco devices. Plink can be configured using the Windows registry to communicate with various ssh server configurations.

To change the cipher (or algorithm) used create a key "Cipher" with the value "blowfish" in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Ecora\PuTTY\Sessions\Default%20Settings

To change the protocol negotiation sequence to sshv2 create a key "SshProt" with the value "2" in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Ecora\PuTTY\Sessions\Default%20Settings

To change the default port number create a key "PortNumber" with the desired value in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Ecora\PuTTY\Sessions\Default%20Settings

Beyond these settings, plink recognizes the same registry settings used in PuTTY.
