Auditor Help:

Registering OPSEC Application

The Communication dialog allows you to remotely register a new OPSEC Application on the Check Point server without having to access the SmartConsole. To allow the Check Point server to receive requests from Auditor, create a configuration file called cpra.conf and save it in the $FWDIR/conf directory. That file should contain the line:

allow_remote_ra=yes

You can also click the "Allow remote registration of OPSEC products" check box on the SmartDashboard Global Properties.

Note! Note:By default the configuration file is unavailable and remote connections are not allowed by the Check Point server.

Add host where Auditor is installed to the GUI clients in the Check Point cpconfig tool on the Management server.

To register the OPSEC Application on the Check Point server, follow these steps:

  1. Specify User Name and Password of a defined administrator.

  2. Specify the name and IP address for the host computer where Auditor is installed.
  3. Specify any OPSEC Application name. The name should be unique within SmartCenter.
    Note! Note: Make sure that the Check Point SmartDashboard is closed before you proceed.
  4. Click the OK button.
