Ecora Software and Intellitactics to
Provide Greater Operational Efficiency by
Combining Event Analysis with Configuration Detail

Webinar kicks off joint technology effort to proactively mitigate potential vulnerabilities and pinpoint responsibility for changes in the enterprise

Portsmouth, N.H. – December 06, 2007 – Ecora Software, the market-proven leader for configuration audit and analytics solutions, announces it is entering a partnership with Intellitactics, the leader in security event management, to provide companies with the collective insight to rapidly respond to vulnerabilities that could compromise service performance and availability and threaten enterprise security.

The successful operation of organizations today rests on the continuous availability of its technology systems, and they incorporate these expectations into service level agreements. Yet, meeting certain levels of service is jeopardized by a lack of understanding of today's complex infrastructures. Leading industry analysts all point to system misconfigurations as the leading cause for downtime and security breaches. Surveys continually indicate that more than half the time spent resolving a service outage is focused on determining the root cause.

“Ecora and Intellitactics share a common value proposition for delivering quick time to value through agentless technologies and delivering actionable information tailored specifically for different roles throughout the organization”, said Sunil Bhargava, vice president of product management with Intellitactics. “Working together, we will help companies develop an automated approach to identify and assess threats and possible security incidents through our contextualized alerts. These alerts correlate event data with current and historic configuration states to proactively discover policy violations and rapidly determine the root cause of an incident.”

As part of its product strategy, Ecora has built out-of-the-box integrations with industry-leading Service Management applications, such as BMC Remedy and HP Service Desk, the leaders in help desk and configuration management solutions. The framework developed for these integrations was designed from the start to enable further integrations with a host of other third-party event management, remediation, and reporting solutions.

“We are continuing to execute on our product strategy by enabling, for the first time, the deep configuration, change detection and reporting capabilities of Auditor Pro to be combined with the robust, real time event reporting and log analysis capabilities of Intellitactics,” said Bryan Cote, Senior Product Manager, Ecora Software. “This allows a user to respond to security-related events quickly by identifying the source and target of the threat, as well as reviewing the configuration history of the target for any known configuration changes, regardless of whether they are authorized or unauthorized. Companies can now respond to potential vulnerabilities quickly, before they can be exploited.”

A jointly-held Webinar discussing details of the Ecora - Intellitactics integration will take place on Thursday, December 6, at 11:00 a.m. EST. Participants can register by visiting:
