Ecora Patch Manager FAQ

Question:  What does it mean when the patch report displays a message that the checksum is invalid and the file version is greater than what is expected?

Answer:  To certify that the proper version of the file is installed on your computer, the software examines both the file checksum and the file version of the file on your computer, and then compares it with the information about this file that is stored in the XML database. If you see the preceding error message, the file on your computer is most likely an earlier version of the file and the referenced patch is not installed.
