With thirteen years of IT experience, eleven of those concentrating in information security, Branden has a formidable background in the majority of the technologies that drive today's businesses. After spending the first several years of his career working with education institutions and internet service providers to secure their infrastructures, Branden co-founded an IT consulting business that was later sold to a venture capitalist. He continued in this entrepreneurial spirit and worked with several of their portfolio companies to enable the growth of their business while securing the enterprise. From writing applications to deploying infrastructure, Branden has security experience working with global, top named clients.

Branden has extensive experience in Linux, Solaris, and Microsoft Windows (NT/2K/2003) server platforms. He has further experience in various other operating systems including Manframe (z/OS), BSDI, HP/UX, AIX, and OS X. From a networking perspective, Branden has experience with Cisco IOS/PIX, Lucent, WatchGuard, Netscreen, Linux IPTables, Checkpoint, and other technologies, as well as practical deployments of enabling infrastructure to promote efficiency and order where cost and chaos normally exists.

Branden is also an Adjunct Professor at the University of Dallas's Graduate School of Management where he teaches in their NSA Certified Information Assurance program.
